8 weeks

Called the doctor today to book our first appt for baby check up and was told because I had a cone biopsy 5 years ago that they might have to stitch up my cervix! How scary is that??? Of course I only spoke to the nurse/appt clerk... Why do they do that...... Now I'll worry about it until Sept 20th. I know everyone will say that everything will be ok, but until I speak to MY DOCTOR, I won't be able to rest easy! The nurse/appt clerk said that since I have a piece of my cervix missing our chances of holding the baby full term can are slim! I HATE that! I have a friend who had her sweet baby girl at 28 weeks, and I went back and read some of her blogs from her and sweet little one in the hospital! She has so much strength! So much courage! With 3 kids already at home I find myself wondering if I'll be able to find those?!?!
I know I'm rambling, but I'm TERRIFIED!!!
Why bother telling me!!!!!!!

  1. From someone who has been in your exact shoes, take it from me that this is not necessarily terrible news. I had a cone biopsy about five years before having my daughter and while the doctor fretted about it and I got ulcers worrying, everything worked out fine. I didn't have to have my cervix stitched and my daughter delivered full term with no complications.

    Keep your chin up!!

Hey, we'd like to feature you on BlogTrotting next Thursday! Can you have a tour post ready?

  3. Hey, Sweetpea!
I am sooooo excited for you! Oh, my doctor just told us that when we get pregnant again that he's going to stitch me too!

You're right though. Wait to speak with your doctor and don't worry about things now :) I know it's easier said than done :) XOXOXO
